Surfer Blood changed it up somewhat with their 2013 release of Python. A good album, but it went more towards beachy Blink 182 vibe, but the better version of it. We were able to catch them last year at the Goat Farm opening up for Foals and they put on a good show. I think the gem of this show is catching Nashville mellow noise rockers

This homegrown folk rock duo are more or less legendary status in our eyes. 2014 saw the return of Amy Ray with a new studio album with a little new flavor. It wouldn't surprise me to see the ladies at Bonnaroo this year. The show is sold out, but if you can find a ticket....go. The proceeds also go towards the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. Can't argue with giving back to their own!

We haven't been short on our love for Charles Bradley here at You Ought To Hear This. They don't make them like this too often. Making a name for himself as a James Brown cover man, the man leaves nothing on the stage. He blew us away again at last year's Shaky Knees Fest and there's no doubt he'll do the same in Athens.
