Tonight is the highly anticipated return of Arcade Fire to Atlanta. One of the best live musical acts touring today, we can't wait to see them again live. We've got our formal/costume (as requested) in two and ready to roll to Lakewood.
But what can you expect to see at tonight's show? Here are a few times, as highly unlikely as it may be, that we would love to see.
1. Cover of Ray Charles' 'Georgia on my Mind'. At all of their recent shows the group has played a meaningful local cover song.
2. No 'Georgia on my Mind'? Could we see a cover of R.E.M., Outkast, Luda? How cool or crazy could they get with this? Here's hoping they don't go near the country realm.
3. On the highly unlikely side, could we see an on stage appearance by a local Atlantan? Maybe, say Elton John? He's a fan... ‘You get a rock band like Arcade Fire. I love them so much, but they’re not played on Radio 1 because they’re too old, and they’re not played on Radio 2 because they’re not really Radio 2.
4. On the much more likely side, you will see a great performance that mixes tracks from their total discography.
See you guys tonight!
