Yes, that's right. Huey Lewis and The News. They're back- and in a big way.
These days, Huey Lewis is a bit of a semi-sarcastic throw back nurtured fondly by more recent cult classic films (American Psycho). However, a quick look into Huey's hits will swiftly recall lyrics and melodies from the subconscious of yesteryear. American pop-rock was brought to it's apex with the talents of Huey Lewis and the News. When asked to write a song for a "bizarre" film about time travel, Huey Lewis and The News created "The Power of Love". The bizarre film turned out to be "Back To The Future".
Regardless of what age you may be during Shaky Knees 2016, you will have a monumental time. While attendees may explore new bands, take a gander of promising up-and-comers, and find themselves falling in love with a distant melody - Huey Lewis and The News will be holding it down as the memories of them fade and become alive. But just why are they back? Why the hell not. I could go on and on about the many awards and rich history, but it would be trite. Go see Huey Lewis and The News. You just have to. However, be leery of anyone in a suit and clear rain coat. Just sayin'.
