Bonnaroo Artist Countdown ::: 100 ::: The Tallest Man on Earth

One hundred days until Bonnaroo. Until traffic backs up for miles in south central Tennessee with cars packed with eager music lovers, tents, dry-iced coolers, and highlighted schedules that will evolve with the passengers musical along with their body odor during four of the best days of their year. How's that for a run on?

To kick off the countdown we'll be bringing you a new Bonnaroo artists each day to help prepare your ears for the Farm. We will also be bringing you tips, suggestions, stories, and answering questions as we get closer to June.

Artist 100 ::: The Tallest Man on Earth
Genre ::: Folk, singer-songwriter
Hidden behind his stage name, The Tallest Man on Earth, Kristian Matsson. I'm not the first person to compare Matsson to fellow singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and for good reason. Whether it's the depth of his lyrics, the slightly grizzled voice, or purpose behind their sound it's an almost instantaneous association. The Tallest Man on Earth, whose actual height is 5'9", began listening to Dylan at the age of fifteen when he "tried to figure out where those songs came from". Though I'm not sure where the Swedish Sensation's songs come from, some of his American notoriety was gained touring with Bon Iver.
